District Vigilance & Anti Corruption Committee


The composition of the District Vigilance Committee, as aforesaid, shall be as follows.

i) The Collector
Chairman
ii) The District Development Officer
Member
iii) The District Superintendent of Police
Member
iv) The Civil Surgeon
Member
v) The Executive Engineer (R&B)
Member
vi) The Resident Deputy Collector
Member
vii) The Police Inspector or the Deputy Superintendent of Police Anti Corruption Bureau in charge of the District.
Secretary

The functions of the District Vigilance Committee shall be as follows:-

a)

To expedite disposal of anti-corruption inquiries in the District. This could be done by reviewing the arrears position of A.C.B. inquiries in each monthly meeting. The Committee may also broadly go into details of case, if need be;

b)
To remove bottlenecks in the way of inquiries.
c)

To identify areas where corruption is high and to suggest ways to improve the methods of working in the concerned departments so that corruption is reduced.

d)

To suggest ways of the making inspections of field offices by District Officers more effectively in combating corruption.
