Can a
common man lodge a complaint with GVC?
Yes,
GVC welcomes complaints from general public on any vigilance
related matter. In fact, this is the most valuable input.

What kind of complaints does the GVC accept?
The
GVC accepts all complaints involving vigilance
angle against government servants, employees of State
owned Boards / Corporations, Panchayat employees and
Public Servants
excluding public functionary as defined under section
2(7) of Gujarat Lockayukta Act of 1986 with
specific details. The complaints can be sent through
post, fax or can be handed over personally.
One can lodge a complaint through the GVC Website also.

Is it
correct that the complaints on corruption can be lodged
only with the GVC?
No,
complaints on corruption can also be lodged with the
CID (Crime & Rly ) or ACB, Chief Vigilance Officers
of the concerned Department/Organisation or the Head
of the Department/ Organisation also.

Who
can lodge a complaint and how?
The
Fight against corruption cannot be started, let alone
won, without the active meaningful support of the public
at large. The Gujarat Vigilance Commission invites the
co-operation of all right thinking people in their effort
to eliminate this scourge. Any member of
the public can lodge a complaint with the Gujarat Vigilance
Commission of those relating to malpractice's,
misconduct or corruption in public services relating
to officials of State Government, Boards, Corporations
owned or controlled by State Government.
