How are the complaints processed in the commission?

Action is initiated by the Gujarat Vigilance Commission on all applications, which contain specific and verifiable details after such an application is received by the Gujarat Vigilance Commission, which is sent to the concerned Departments / Boards / Corporations / Panchayats / District Offices for necessary action, factual report or preliminary inquiry report depending upon the seriousness of the matter. The preliminary inquiry can be entrusted to the Departments / Boards / Corporations / Panchayats / District Offices /ACB / CID (Crimes), depending upon the facts of the case. After obtaining a factual report/preliminary enquiry report, the Commission makes recommendations in suitable cases for prosecution/departmental enquiry and further action is taken by the Departments/Boards/Corporations/Panchayats/District Offices.

Procedure to lodge a complaint through e-mail

The Commission invites complaints through e-mail also. If you want to lodge a complaint against any public servant who fall within the jurisdiction of the Commission, all you have to do is to key in the following information at the following E-mail address:
