Important Announcements

Appropriate action is already being taken by Gujarat Vigilance Commission on complaints received by members of public. Whenever a prima-facie case is established, recommendations pertaining to departmental inquiry or prosecution are being made to Government.

The Commission feels that even if there is not enough material to make a concrete complaint against any public servant in a Government/Semi-Government/Board/Corporation office; there may be scope for systematic improvements in the relevant office, which may minimize corruption. Therefore, the Commission has decided that any person may offer two kinds of information to the Commission -

Any vigilance related complaint against any public servant or any instance of corruption in a Government/Semi-Government/Board/Corporation office along with concrete verifiable facts. These will be dealt with, as before, for inquiry and appropriate recommendation to the Government on merits.

Any cases where applicants are subject to harassment, their work is delayed, wrong procedures are followed etc.; or where there is a scope of improvement in the working procedure in any Government/Semi-Government/Board/Corporation office. Any person may offer the relevant information/suggestion to the Commission. The Commission will examine this information and make suitable recommendation to the Government about systematic improvements/modifications of procedures etc. with a view to making efforts to minimize corruption.
