How to Lodge Complaints


The Complainant initiates the case of submitting the complain against one or more than one public servant to the commission. The Complainant may submit their complaint either through post or personally or through E-mail.

Different possible types of complaints received by the commission are as under:

  1. Malpractice's, irregularities in work execution.
  2. In accepting tender and rate contracts.
  3. In accepting sub standard materials.
  4. For wrongly passing bill.
  5. In purchase
  6. In recruitment, posting, transfer, promotion include service matters.
  7. Bribery or corruption.
  8. For favoritism / Nepotism.
  9. For criminal offence related to human body.
  10. Tempering with Govt. records and fraud.
  11. Encroachment.
  12. Other.
 

Thus the complain letter becomes the main source of information. The complainant passes through many stages before any action is taken against delinquent i.e. person against whom the complain is received.

How to complain:

Complain can be ledged by writing a letter addressed to the Secretary, Gujarat Vigilance Commission, Sector 10.B, Gandhinagar. No format is prescribed for the complaint, but the following information will be useful to inquire into the complain.

  1. Name of the complainant :
  2. Address of the complainant and e-mail address if any :
  3. The name of the officer / employee & the office against whom the complain is:
